Healthy Meal Planning For Muscle Growth

Introduction
Building muscle takes more than heavy lifting. Your body needs enough energy and protein to repair and grow, every single day. Meal planning makes that simple, saves time and removes the guesswork from eating for results.
Know Your Numbers
To gain muscle, eat slightly more energy than you burn, around 200–300 calories above maintenance. Aim for 1.6–2.2g of protein per kilogram of bodyweight, spread evenly across three to five meals so your muscles have a steady supply of building blocks.
Build Balanced Plates
Fill each plate with a palm-sized portion of lean protein, a fist of complex carbohydrates, two fists of vegetables and a thumb of healthy fats. Chicken, fish, eggs, lean beef, tofu, rice, potatoes, oats, olive oil and nuts are all reliable staples.
Prep Once, Eat Well All Week
Choose one or two days to cook in batches. Grill proteins, roast vegetables and prepare grains in bulk, then store them in portioned containers. Having meals ready means you are far less likely to skip one or reach for convenience food.
Do Not Forget Snacks And Hydration
Snacks such as Greek yoghurt, cottage cheese, protein shakes, fruit and nuts help you hit your targets without forcing huge meals. Drink water throughout the day and add electrolytes on hot days or after long sessions.
